The Dodge Avenger is a midsize front-wheel-drive 4-door sedan-it is the counterpart to the Chrysler Sebring. The 2010 model is offered with a choice between a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V-6. While the 4-cylinder earns an EPA-rated 30 mpg on the highway, the 6-cylinder model is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, allowing it to earn 27 mpg on the highway. The Avenger is a carryover for 2010. The 2010 Avenger comes with front-wheel drive, a 173-hp, 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, and a four-speed automatic transmission. On the R/T, a 235-hp, 3.5 liter V6 engine is optional and accompanied by a six-speed automatic transmission. The EPA estimates that the SXT will deliver 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, while the R/T with the V6 engine will deliver 16 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
